PayFast has been growing at a very impressive rate over the past few years. We’re constantly looking for capable and motivated individuals to help us grow South Africa’s best online payment gateway. 

About The Position

We’re looking for a dynamic Partnership Manager to join our ranks, who will fall into the Business Development team. 

You will be a key player in the growth and expansion plans of the company by building strong and lasting partnerships, including integration solutions, payment providers as well as key event partners.  Industry and event representation and presentation will also be required. 

You will work closely with the sales and account management team and be directly involved in key account relationships with existing and potential larger clients. There will also be a product and development focus to the role involving relationship and project management for specific product feature developments required to support our key clients. 

You’ll get to wear a lot of different hats on the job and be required to work with various teams within the company including UX, support, sales, and development so an interest or experience in any of those fields would be beneficial.

PayFast was started in 2007 and has grown into one of South Africa’s leading online payment gateways. We are trusted by thousands of online sellers to process payments for them in a variety of ways, including credit cards, Instant EFT, Mobicred, MaterPass and Bitcoin (and yes, you should know what all these methods are).

About you

You’re a fun, sharp and self-motivated person. You have a passion for building strong and lasting relationships and can keep tabs on multiple moving parts in your job. You have some appropriate work experience and ideally a diploma or a degree in a relevant area. Getting top marks for your tests surely is impressive, but we’re far more interested in your personality; who you are and where you’re heading.

We’re looking for someone who is professional and driven, with an ability to think ahead with a focus on commercials, strategy and negotiation. Also someone who has outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to distil complex ideas into clear plans and agreements. 

None of the skills are required, but it will certainly help if you have some knowledge of or experience in e-commerce (as a buyer or as a seller), payment systems, negotiation, strategy, sales, account management, public presentations, and project management.
